Occupy

I met Michael Stone at an Occupy Event on Facebook!

Grateful for the Occupy Movement, and for Michael Stone! I just met him on U-Tube today as I checked out my FB page on Occupy Events.  Its impact is still alive and growing in me this evening.  I think I might be planting passion and compassion seeds as I share this message with you….

I am grateful that energy expands, and occupies each of us, growing exponentially, as we share it with others.  This is why I am posting it on my Daily Blog and on Facebook.  I want everyone to share it with everyone!!!! Our energetic creativity and compassion, along with clear intention will change the world!!!!

This is amazing footage of articulate clarification regarding Conflict and the Occupy Movement. Michael says we need to take feelings (anger, frustration etc.) and turn them into creativity!  I agree, wholeheartedly!   I listened, deeply, and found myself saying, “and compassion!” too!  Here is the link:

I learned that Michael Stone is a yoga teacher, author and psychotherapist.  I see that he his using his talents and professional training to truly make a difference.  What if we each did that? And what if mindfulness were a way of life and a core value of the Occupy Movement?  Of each of our lives?

He asks, “ How can we live a balanced life in unbalanced times? How can the practices of meditation and yoga support our relationships, our work lives, and the greater good?”  Michael Stone presents insights of mindfulness and yoga, emphasizing the teachings of simplicity and the interdependence of all life. He is practicing true yoga; connecting the body and the mind!  Maybe we should invite him to The Learning for Life Center for a Book Dialogue.  What do you think?

I feel inspired, and I find myself feeling the urge DO SOMETHING!  I feel as if I would like go to EVERY Occupy Movement location, and share what I know, and learn cool stuff from others too.  I could teach the models of “self integration,” and “compassionate communication,” and the process of “authentic movement.”  They could be powerful stepping-stones for nurturing this movement with love, compassion, creativity and authenticity.

You have so much to share, LaVetta. It would be incredible if you could go to the Occupy events and teach what you know, even sharing just a tiny piece of what you know would change lives. I wonder how we can help this happen? I wonder if it would be possible to to teach “compassionate communication” to the police and politicians who feel threatened by Occupy?

I am imagining what it would look and feel like to see an entire Occupy Group engaged in “authentic Movement.” What a sight that would be. 🙂
